GDAŃSK PRESS PHOTO 2010 – POST-COMPETITION EXHIBITION

For the 14th time we have a great pleasure to present you the fruits of our annual photo "catch". On the exhibition, that accompanies "Gdańsk Press Photo"contest, will be presented works awarded in this year's edition. Organized by our competition is a platform for evaluation and presentation of the best achievements of professional photographers and non-professional press photography enthusiasts from the region of Pomerania and West Pomerania.
The work presented in the post-competition exhibition is an opportunity for a visual summary of the past year, in the subjective eyes of authors of exhibited photographs. In addition to photos, which captured the most important moments and significant events, are also those which reveal to us private, yet little-known microworlds. All photos, which you can see on our exhibition, have a common denominator: each of the case presented on the photo was - in the mind of the author - worth the moment of the attention and pressing the trigger of a camera. Most importantly, presented photographs not that much "show" what we already know, but rather re-discover, stimulating the activity of perception of their viewers.
