The Polish Maritime Museum (CMM), celebrating last year the 50th anniversary of its existence, offers a unique exhibition entitled "Take a Plunge and Discover the Mysteries of the Baltic Shipwrecks", presenting a rich collection of the Museum of Maritime Archaeology and conservation of monuments excavated from the seabed. Created in 1960, the Museum faced a huge challenge - how to obtain the original monuments documenting the maritime history of Poland and Europe in the field of boat building and maritime trade. The answer was the decision to undertake independent submarine research and create the Department of Conservation. For over 42 years three research vessels “Modra Woda”, “Wodnik”, “Kaszubski Brzeg”, numerous teams of divers and archaeologists have explored over 30 shipwrecks. The exhibition presents the most famous and spectacular discoveries in the basin of the Baltic Sea, which still arise interest in the world.
