Gdańsk Tourist Organisation is an association which is engaged in tourist promotion of Gdańsk and works closely with the local tourist industry and local government in the Gmina Gdańsk.
GTO has over 120 members. These are hotels, tour operators, travel agencies, restaurants and other businesses associated with the tourist industry. The principal member of the GTO is City of Gdańsk.
Gdańsk Tourist Organisation was founded 10 years ago (2002). In 2005, within the GTO, the Gdańsk Convention Bureau (GCB) has been established.
What do we do?
1. Modern Project for tourists:

2. Innovative tools to communicate with tourists:
- Gdansk4u MOBILE (application for mobile phones),
- tourist website gdansk4u.pl,
- social media: Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare.
3. Professional system of tourist information in Gdańsk:
- year-round tourist information points,
- bicycle tourist information (seasonal),
- mobile tourist information in the city centre (seasonal),
- „mystery shopper” test.
4. International,k regional and city projects:
- Cruise Baltic,
- Integrated Tourist Information System,
- tourism fairs,
- Sea Battle. Siege of the Wisłoujście Fortress,
- city games.
5. Others:
- Meetings and trainings for the tourism industry (forum for the exchange of
knowledge and experience).
- Conference „New trends in tourism”
- Contest for the Gdańsk Tourist Product and other.
- PR activity on social websites as well as well as cooperation with Polish and foreign
media.
- Training of a new personnel for the tourism – cooperation with universities in Tricity
and the Volunteer Centre in Gdańsk.
